Aunt May Bird

This is a portrait I did in the early 80's from a photo of my Grandmother's Aunt. She was Cherokee but dressed in this beautiful victorian dress. The photo was black and white but with my Grandmother's information, I added the color. I also made her much more light skinned to accomodate the look of victorian.

Native Woman

This is my first portrait. I painted this when I was studying art at University a VERY long time ago. I keep her around to remind me of my roots. In more ways than one. She was done in oil.
